God Out of School

                                                                   Teaching our children
               God out of School!
     Remembering some Commandments

The craziness of our educational system has gotten way out of hand and needs to come back to the teachings of Our Lord and Savior. The 3rd commandment is pretty plain and to the point. “Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy.”  This has gone the way of many of His teachings.  Note the heading He put on these Commandments”, they are not suggestions or requests. Whatever you think about the Muslim religion they follow the teachings of their prophet much more religiously than we do.  If we are to succeed in spreading the Word of the One True God we need to be setting much better examples.  This could be done by getting back to family values and honoring the one we know and profess is the Way, Truth and the Life, as in Bible Verse John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes unto the Father, but by me.”  Seems pretty clear does it not?  We need to get back to teaching these and not playing football games, hosting volleyball tournaments or any other of the myriad of sports and activities that are now being scheduled Sundays.  If your religion believes Saturday is the Holy day then observe that day as you see fit.  The Jewish people are one of the most faithful when it comes to observing the “Sabbath”.  We could take lessons from them and change our habits.  We have succeeded in getting religion out of school and look where it has taken us.
A more somber note is that we allow other religions, read Muslim, to practice their religion and they have been successful in getting to pray when and where they want, but Christians who founded this country can’t.   Crazy huh!
There is some good news and we need to keep growing in this direction.  It is the Charter School movement.  A lot of them have pushed the envelope with the Pledge of Allegiance and more.  We need to encourage them but watch where they go to make sure they are teaching the best.
A lot of basic subjects have given way to the Arts, Sports and Extra Curricular Activities .  Some of the things that pass for Art receive many of our dollars and are nothing but a sham for a personal agenda from some nut.  We can change it back and must be tenacious in doing so!  Starting at the ballot box is the best way.  With the Liberal agenda most of Congress pushes there is no telling where we will end up unless we stop the slide and return to the Christian Principles our founding fathers had in mind.  If we do not do this we will lose the next generation to a Socialist style government and we all know this has never and will never work.

God Bless until we meet again.
Your Brother in CHRIST JESUS

What is a Lutheran

WHAT IS A                                                                                                                   LUTHERAN

Lutheran [ˈluːθərən] (Christianity / Protestantism) a follower of Martin Luther (1483-1546), the German leader of the Protestant Reformation, or a member of a Lutheran Church. adj  1. (Christianity / Protestantism) of or relating to Luther or his doctrines, the most important being justification by faith alone, consubstantiation, and the authority of the Bible. 2. (Christianity / Protestantism) of or denoting any Protestant Church that follows Luther's doctrines.
Many Churches and Seminaries lay claim to this name.  Although when you enter their doors or listen to their preaching and teaching, it is far removed from what Martin Luther wrote about and believed.  In particular the ELCA is the most guilty. Just a quick look at Luther’s Small Catechism would dispel all the notions of Relativism that are being preached and taught.  Yes, there is Black and White. The silliness that we must be all things to all who ask is not what Jesus wanted us to carry forth.  Mark 1:17 Jesus said “Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”  He does not sway to the feelings (political correctness) of the day. The foundations of Christianity must not be compromised just because we may hurt some feelings.  The Core Principals upon which Christianity is based, The Ten Commandments, The Apostles Creed & The Lord’s Prayer, must never be subjected to the whims of political correctness. These as well as the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, Confession of Faith and most certainly The Sacrament of Holy Communion (which are not the Elements as some are touting) are the basis of Christianity and most certainly of the Lutheran Faith.  By using the Lutheran name they are hijacking the denomination for their own use.  This ecclesiastical nonsense is tantamount to stealing the Lutheran following to accommodate their wants, versus starting their own following based on their beliefs.  Might this have to do with money/greed?
A recent book that I read made it very clear; we have deteriorated to looking out for the things that sell and not the Gospel as the core value of our congregations. The United States of America was founded as a Christian Nation, contrary to popular teachings.  The separation of church and state referred to not having a government sponsored religion.  We must get back to teaching the Holy Gospel as written and quit changing it to reflect the messages people want to hear.
Couple this with the removal of His presence from our schools and government and we are headed for a truly godless society.  Look at the history of the World and see how many survived.  The best example of this is the former USSR, a country who had killed tens of thousands of Christians, which collapsed with the help of Ronald Reagan bringing Christ’s message to them over and over.  It obviously was not the only guiding principal, but it sure didn’t hurt as history has recorded.
2 Peter 2:1-3 1. But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2. Many will follow their shameful ways and bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
Blessings ‘til we meet again

God out of Church

Now if we can only get
                                                                GOD OUT OF CHURCH!
Let’s start with His Miracles
Lutheran Outrider

So far, with help from our ACLU friends and our relativist (whatever) attitude, we have been successful in removing God from our Government and from our Schools.  Now if only we can get Him out of Church!

In the past year or so I have been witness to a very disturbing trend.  My wife and I had an opportunity to travel to Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary (PLTS) in Berkeley, CA.  Sandwiched around that visit, I was subjected to some of the most bewildering dialogue I had ever heard.  Prior to, and after our weekend at PLTS, I had several discussions about the Miracle of the feeding of the five thousand.  Indeed I heard sermons on 2 different occasions that brought the Miracle down to the people “sharing” their food.  This seems incredible to me as it is clear in all 4 Gospels that Jesus produced the food from the 5 loaves and 2 fishes the little boy had brought.  The discussion and sermons were that all people of this period had pouches with food in them and they simply shared with all others their supper.  Note this is late evening supper as they had been there all day.  They most probably had eaten this food earlier in the day.  As the Apostles came to Jesus and said that the people were “hungry” He asked them for the food from the little boy.  Now if they had food why were they hungry?  Why didn’t Jesus just say “let’s eat”? When He was given the food He  looked up to Heaven, and Blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His Disciples to set before the people; and He divided the two fish among them all.” This quote is from the book of Mark but as noted above, the feeding can be found in all 4 Gospels*.  Miracle or “sharing”?  I would choose to believe the Bible as it is the Word of God. Then to top it off after we returned from PLTS, we attended a gathering to discuss Mission work for the Synod.  During the evening we heard from our Bishop.  I did not get the connection but during his talk he also referred to the feeding as just a “sharing” of the food they had brought.  Miracle or “sharing”?

As the Miracles of Jesus are trivialized, where does it stop?  Can they explain away the other 43?  At the PLTS Credo Program the topic was that the Bible was just a bunch of stories handed down from generation to generation.  The only Miracle they recognized was the Resurrection.  Now how can that be if He was not Divine? Belief in the Bible as the Holy Scripture, the Word of God, is what we are taught to learn and live by as Christians, is it not? Reference 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 “All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.”

We must not stand by as Relativism becomes more and more prevalent.  We must stand up and take back the church that is being hijacked by forces that claim to be following Luther’s teachings but are in fact pulling further and further away with each generation.  In other words we must get back to the teachings of Jesus and follow God’s Holy Scripture.

As my wife and I journey through the balance of our lives, we believe He has a purpose for us.  We are going to be more vigilant than ever against those who would subvert or deny the power of Gods Holy Word and/or the Miracles of Jesus. We are following Him as He is directing the paths we are taking.  Reference Proverbs 3.6

To all who read this, I pray you will come back to the true teachings of Martin Luther and his writings.  If Luther saw what was happening to the teachings from the Lutheran Church today I am sure he would be very displeased.
